Our enrollment process is simple.
Choosing a school for your child can be one of the most difficult decisions you will make as a parent. We understand the importance of your decision and want to help make this process as simple, yet meaningful, as possible. To that end, we’ve created the roadmap below for your family to follow.
Attending a preview event or scheduling a personalized tour (click here to schedule your tour) will equip you with the knowledge you need to consider a Cor Deo education for your child. We also encourage you to read “An Introduction to Classical Education,” by Dr. Christopher Perrin, which you will receive when you visit, along with Dorothy Sayer’s Lost Tools of Learning essay.
If you have decided to move forward with Cor Deo, you’ll fill out an online application. A non-refundable $100 application fee must be submitted via mail or in-person at the time of application or before taking the next step. Please contact the school office at any time should you have questions.
VISIT & INTERVIEW
Once you have applied, you will be contacted to set up a family interview and a shadow day for your student. We ask that both parents and the prospective student be in attendance for the family interview. To prepare for your family interview, please read our Statement of Faith and The Lost Tools of Learning. Your child’s shadow day will be scheduled for the same day as your family interview and will give your child the full Cor Deo experience. They will be paired with a current student to serve as buddy or guide for the day. They may come in their regular school clothes and should bring a snack, lunch, and water bottle. Rising kindergarteners do not attend a shadow day.
Your child will participate in one of our assessment days, to be scheduled at the time of your interview. The assessment will take between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on grade. Rising kindergarteners will be asked to attend a Kindergarten Readiness Afternoon, scheduled for 1–3 p.m. on either Wednesday, February 12, or Wednesday, March 11.
Once you received your acceptance from the school, complete the enrollment information requested by the school. At this time you are also welcome to apply for tuition assistance. Please note that there is a $400 non-refundable enrollment fee per child that must be paid to secure your child’s place for the 2020–21 school year.
