Your child’s classical Christian teacher desires to partner with you in the important and holy work of shaping the soul of a precious human being: your child. Part of the beauty of a classical Christian education is that your child’s classroom teacher cares passionately about her or him as a whole person created in the image of God, a reflection his glory. Each school day, the teachers of The Cor Deo School meet at 8 a.m. to pray for our school, each other, and the children you have entrusted to our care. On Thursdays, we choose a specific Scripture to pray for your children. This last week we prayed:
“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” Psalm 143:10
Our prayer time is infused with a deep love for our students, focused on The Cor Deo School families and students knowing God’s character and love. Prayer is a partnering principle each of us can practice at our school.
Pray for your child’s teacher to be effective instruments of God’s grace. Pray that they will thrive in their calling as a teacher, achieve their goals with each student, communicate love, and inspire each student to new heights.
Cement the bonds of partnership by staying informed. Read the classroom homepage to keep up with what is going on in the classroom and, as time allows, volunteer to help in any way you are capable. Your child’s classroom teacher loves your child and desires for them to thrive, so as miscommunication or conflict happens in the classroom please remember that you and the teacher are on the same team. Problem-solve with the teacher because you are on this journey together. You need to know that we love your family. You have a job to do that takes God, grit, and grace. Thank you for partnering with us.
